OUR STORY Baja Boyz Tacos began as a dream, inspired by Fernando and his wife Vicky’s shared love for the vibrant, bold flavors of Baja California. Fernando’s grandfather was from Ensenada—the birthplace of the iconic Baja-style fish taco—where fresh, battered seafood is more than just a dish; it’s a way of life. Growing up, Fernando was immersed in the rich culinary traditions of the coast, savoring authentic seafood that captured the true spirit of Baja. One of the most meaningful aspects of Baja Boyz Tacos is the logo itself. It was inspired by a special family trip to Cabo San Lucas to celebrate the birthday of Fernando’s father, Danny. During that unforgettable trip, Danny, Fernando, Ricardo, and Esteban each caught a marlin—a moment filled with laughter, pride, and the joy of family. The logo commemorates that powerful memory and holds even deeper significance after Danny’s passing from suicide the following year. The marlin symbolizes not only the ocean and coastal lifestyle that inspired their food, but also honors Danny’s adventurous spirit and deep love for his family. After relocating from San Diego to Utah, Fernando and Vicky quickly noticed a serious lack of authentic Baja-style tacos. Determined to bring a taste of home to their new community, they launched Baja Boyz Tacos—a food truck dedicated to serving fresh, premium Baja-style fish and shrimp tacos, along with their signature Surf & Turf taco featuring grilled steak and shrimp. Every dish is crafted with high-quality ingredients and paired with their house-made salsas, delivering a true coastal flavor. Since hitting the streets of Utah, Baja Boyz has become known not only for their crave-worthy tacos and burritos but also for creating a little slice of San Diego and Ensenada wherever they go. Their commitment to authenticity, quality, and sharing the Baja spirit has earned them a loyal following.
