We are Chef Pape and ibou, The faces behind The Balabé ‘Senegalese Cuisineʼ food truck. Family, Friends, the Love for food ... My business expertise and Chef Papeʼs Culinary skills holding the position of a Chef at various restaurants in the city of New York and bringing his personal cooking style and experience from back home, lead us to a start of this food truck, in hopes to give people of Salt Lake City the opportunity to try the authentic flavors of African (Senegalese to be specific) cuisine. We are both natives of Senegal Africa, I, ibou a 20 plus yr residence of US & chef Pape a 12 yrs in the United States. We are highly anticipating on taking this venture to a physical location in near future.
