Touch of Polynesia was started by Paea and Lopiseni Finau. A couple who both immigrated to Utah from the island kingdom of Tonga. They had a dream of sharing the beauty, warmth, and spirit of their Polynesian heritage with their new community while also wanting to provide for their small family. In 1998, they brought that dream to life by starting a small family-run business. What began as a labor of love grew into something much more—a space where culture, family, and community could thrive and food trucks that run throughout the cities they raised their children in. Although Lopiseni has since passed away, his legacy lives on. Today, the business is proudly run by his wife and children, who continue to honor their father’s vision by sharing the same flavors, values, and aloha spirit that started it all.
