About Sokah Food Truck
Story
Sokah Food Truck was born from the rhythm of the road and the heartbeat of music. Founder Derron Blackman, a traveling musician, spent years bringing his sound to stages across the country. Along the way, food became just as much a part of the journey as the music — late-night meals after gigs, flavors discovered in new cities, and the comfort of home-cooked Trinidadian dishes that kept him grounded no matter where he played. Inspired by these travels, Derron blended his two passions: the soulful energy of music and the vibrant, spice-driven cuisine of his Trinidadian roots. Sokah Food Truck isn’t just a place to eat; it’s a cultural experience. Every dish carries the rhythm of the islands, echoing the same joy and connection found in his music. From the steelpan beats of Trinidad to the bustling streets of Fort Worth, Sokah Food Truck is Derron’s way of sharing not only food, but a story — one of heritage, travel, and the universal power of flavor and sound.
